Akari — The Lighting Company
Behind every product is a community of people who make things happen every day.
They work in offices, warehouses, stores, and communities across the country. They build careers, learn from one another, celebrate milestones, take on challenges, and find ways to give back.
This is where we share their stories – and the moments that make Akari, Akari.
Life at Akari
Curious minds, kind hearts, bold ideas—and a culture that celebrates all of it.
We come together to connect, celebrate milestones, and have fun.
Big moments and small wins—we celebrate what matters.
We grow together through learning, sharing knowledge, and pushing boundaries.
Because some of the best working relationships are built outside the office.
How We Got Here
Every journey is unique. Meet some of the people who shaped Akari, the challenges we’ve overcome together, and the lessons that guide what we build next.
Real people. Real journeys. One Akari.
Growing with Akari
Growth isn’t rushed—it’s real. We invest in people, champion curiosity, and create room to lead.
“Akari supported my growth every step—with mentorship, trust, and room to solve bigger problems.”

Priya joined Akari as a Data Analyst with a clear curiosity for how numbers could shape better decisions. Early on, she spent long nights cleaning messy datasets from stores and warehouses—work that rarely made the spotlight, but made every forecast sharper.
With mentorship from senior leads and real ownership of projects, she grew into a Senior Data Analyst and later Lead Data Scientist. Along the way she built models that helped teams anticipate demand, cut waste, and plan light around how Filipinos actually live.
Today she leads a small team of analysts and scientists. Her story is less about titles and more about a company that kept saying yes—to learning, to trust, and to bigger problems worth solving.
“I’ve grown alongside a team that challenges me and a mission that keeps me motivated every day.”

Daniel started as a Software Engineer writing the quiet systems behind catalog, inventory, and tools field teams relied on every day. He liked hard problems—and he liked people who asked better questions.
As Senior Software Engineer he mentored juniors, tightened release habits, and helped ship platforms that made product knowledge easier to share nationwide. That mix of craft and care prepared him for Engineering Manager: less about lines of code alone, more about building a team that can ship with confidence.
His path shows what growth at Akari can look like—technical excellence paired with room to lead, and a mission that still feels personal when the lights come on in someone’s home.
“Akari believed in my potential before I even saw it. That’s the kind of place that shapes careers—and people.”

Aisha arrived as a Marketing Associate helping campaigns find their voice—store activations, product launches, and the everyday stories that make lighting feel human. She listened closely to customers and to the teams who meet them.
As Brand Manager she shaped how Akari and NXLED show up across channels: clearer messaging, warmer photography, and campaigns that felt Filipino without losing polish. Those years earned her the trust to step into Director of Brand & Communications.
She still talks about the first manager who asked her to lead a launch she didn’t feel ready for. That belief—and the space to grow into it—is the story she tells whenever someone asks why she stayed.

CSR Story 01
We bring clean, reliable solar lighting to off-grid communities, empowering families and opening opportunities for education and progress.
In the community
Project Liwanag began with a simple question: what happens when night falls in places the grid never quite reaches? For many families, homework, evening chores, and safety depended on candles, kerosene, or borrowed light.
Together with local partners, Akari teams assessed needs, packed solar lighting kits, and trained community volunteers on care and upkeep. Homes that once went dark early gained clean, reliable light—and with it, more hours for study, livelihood, and gathering.
The work continues community by community. Each install is a reminder that light is not only a product—it is access, dignity, and a brighter path forward.
CSR Story 02
We support learning through solar-powered classrooms, digital tools, and teacher training—helping Filipino students reach their full potential.
In the community
Edukasyon sa Liwanag focuses on classrooms where learning was hard after lunch—rooms that felt dim, warm, and tiring for students and teachers alike. Akari people surveyed partner schools, replaced tired fixtures, and where needed introduced solar-supported setups.
Beyond hardware, the program invests in teacher orientation and simple digital tools so brighter rooms become brighter lessons. Students notice first: clearer boards, cooler focus, and evenings that stay usable for review.
For Akari volunteers, the reward is watching a class settle into work under light that finally feels right—proof that community impact can be practical, local, and lasting.
CSR Story 03
Employees pack lighting kits and relief bags so partner communities can stay safe when weather turns and nights run long.
In the community
Before storm season, Akari employees gather to pack Bayanihan Packs—lighting kits, batteries, and essentials that help families stay safer when weather turns and nights run long. The packing days are loud with conversation and quiet with care.
Kits move through partner networks to barangays and communities that request support. Recipients often tell the same story: when power fails, a working light changes how a household waits out the night.
Bayanihan Packs are not a one-time campaign. They are a habit of readiness—people at Akari showing up for neighbors the same way they show up for each other at work.
